IP type

Choose one of two IP types for your proxy zone:

Geolocation targeting

Since your IPs are automatically allocated, it is recommended to set up a separate Residential proxy, for each geolocation you wish to target.

Geolocation targeting allows you to target specific locations based on City, State, Zip code, or ASN. Select the needed parameter from the drop-down menu.

IP Groups gIPs

Only works with the Dedicated option

gIP contains between 6-90 IPs at any given moment while sharing the same attributes, targeting the selected dedicated domains within the zone “access parameters” section.

Define the domains you’d like your IPs to be exclusive to. Requests to any other domain will be sent from our super proxies.

Cache proxy

Bright Data’s cache proxy is a feature that aims to reduce the unneeded load from target sites by allowing customers to have their successful results cached on the one hand and, on the other hand, to receive cached results to their requests when possible.

Enable Cache Proxy

Simply toggle the cache proxy switch

Cache Proxy

Once switched on, we will walk you through some instructions required for the cache proxy to work.

You have two options to select from:

robots.txt in Cache Proxy

  • To align with our commitment to respectful and compliant web resource usage, our Cache Proxy feature adheres to robots.txt directives, applying its logic across our different proxy networks. Upon opting into Cache Proxy within their chosen network, the operational behavior adjusts based on robots.txt compliance and the user’s KYC status:

When an endpoint is accessible according to robots.txt, the service operates normally within the user’s selected proxy network, whether that’s Residential, Mobile, Datacenter or ISP.

  • If an endpoint is blocked by robots.txt rules, or the request type is one of POST, PUT, PATCH, or DELETE, the handling of the request is contingent on the network type and user verification:

    • For users on the Residential and Mobile networks, those who have undergone Know Your Customer (KYC) verification will have their requests redirected through our super proxy for direct processing. Unverified users will see their requests blocked.
    • For users on the data center and ISP networks, such requests will be blocked regardless of KYC status.

Advanced options:

Long-session peers

Long-Session Peers enables you to maintain a stable IP address for an extended period, ensuring seamless and consistent scraping operations. Unlike regular Residential IPs, where the IP can rotate at any moment if the peer unexpectedly disconnects, Long-Session Peers provide continuous sessions.

Enable Long-session peers

Simply, go to an existing Residential zone or open a new one and toggle on the Long-session peers feature. Now your future requests will only be routed through known long-lasting peers.

This feature does add an extra cost for the zone when enabled
