Accepted Usage per IP and Monitoring Traffic

How Traffic Is Measured

Your usage of a proxy network is calculated with bandwidth. Bandwidth is the amount of information that is sent over a connection and is being downloaded. Each request you send with your proxy consumes a certain amount of bandwidth and your billing is calculated per bandwidth consumption.

Accepted Usage per Datacenter IP

The accepted usage of unlimited bandwidth on Datacenter IPs is up to 100GB per IP per month. This definition depends on your chosen price plan and the number of allocated IPs.

Bright Data reserves the right to periodically review and change the usage levels of unlimited bandwidth to ensure it is not being overused.

In cases where excessive usage of unlimited bandwidth is detected, you will be informed via email to adjust the number of allocated IPs in your Zone to fit your traffic volume or alternatively, you can move your plan to pay per usage.

Monitoring Traffic and Usage

To review your current bandwidth usage, from your My Proxies page, navigate to your data center zone, click on ‘Statistics’ in the top menu, in the ‘Metrics’ section, open the drop-down menu, and change the metric to ‘GB’, you will then be able to review your monthly usage and make sure it’s within Bright Data’s accepted usage.
